How did you choose the name Process Church?
I did a series of interviews with people outside the church over a several-month period of time asking for some of their main objections to the modern Christian church. The one that came up most often was that Christians seem to act as if being a Christian means you never have any problems. I wanted a name that would immediately confront that misconception.
Why Process?
No one is everything they need to be spiritually. Period. I want this to be a place where all of us are learning and being reminded that following Jesus is a daily pursuit.
How does Process Church survive financially?
Our money comes from people who believe in the vision of Process Church... people who are part of us already locally and others from across the country. You can give securely by visiting the Links page.
How is the money handled?
When you give to Process Church that money is sent to our denominational district headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. We do it this way to offer another level of accountability. 100% of all gifts are used specifically for Process Church.
When do you meet?
Currently we meet Sundays at 10:00am. Our Together Groups are taking a break for the summer, but will return in the fall.
What does a Together Group look like?
Even though we're taking a break for the summer, we highly value our Together Groups. Here's what they look like... we meet in homes so the atmosphere is very casual. We start at 7:00 and end promptly at 8:30... though people often linger longer. Beginning in the fall we will be studying through the book of Romans. We pre-read one chapter each week and discuss it together. High interaction. High application.
